Airward Vans RV-10 Baggage Compartment Access Cover Kit – Includes Tinnerman Nuts & Sheet Metal Screws

AirWard has developed a Kit to access the area under the Baggage Compartment Floor for Inspection, Installation/removal of the two Entry/Exit Steps without having to remove the complete Baggage Compartment Floor.  Due to the common problem of the Entry/Exit Steps, or Support Structures, cracking with repeated entry and exit of the aircraft, it is recommended that these Entry/Exit Steps be removed during Periodic Inspection for a though Inspection of both the Entry/Exit Steps and the Support Structures. 

The two Inspection Panels have an opening of 5″x 3 13/16″ and placed on the Baggage Compartment Floor over the area where the Attach Bolts are located.  This allows plenty of space for your hand to remove the Bolts and Nuts and inspect the area under the Baggage Compartment.

The Kit consists of the following:

2 – Reinforcing (Doubler) Plates – 7 1/8″ x 6 1/8″ – .040 Aluminum;

2 – Cover Plates – 6 1/8″ x 5 1/8″ – .040 Aluminum;

16 – A6191-8Z1D – Nut, Anchor – #8 – Tinnerman;

16 – 8RX3/8THA,SS – Screw, Sheet Metal – #8 – 3/8″ OL – Stainless;

60 – AN426AD3-3.5 Rivet – Solid – Countersunk;

1 – Copy of AirWard Installation Instructions.
